Submission Guidelines

Please read the entire guidelines below before submitting your work. We accept submissions through January 26, 2024.
Please submit only one work of fiction, one work of nonfiction, one single-act drama, three works of flash fiction, or up to three poems at a time.
The Literary Magazine Club will be reviewing submissions until March, and then we will send out email notifications for submissions that we would like to publish in this year's edition of What the Thunder Said.  The digital magazine will be published in May.  
What the Thunder Said does accept simultaneous submissions. In the event that the work is accepted for publication elsewhere, please do us the courtesy of informing us promptly.
Only previously unpublished works will be considered for publication.
Submission Requirements
When submitting, please fill out the Cover Letter portion directly with your name and title(s) of your work. Please do NOT include your name or any other identifying information on your uploaded document.
All photographs or works of art must be submitted as a jpg. gif. tiff. or png. file.
